Ann Curry
Ann Curry, an American photojournalist and journalist who has covered natural and war-related disasters for more than 45 years. She focuses on the suffering of people in these areas. Curry has reported on wars all over the world, including in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, born November 19, 1956 (Agana), is an American journalist who worked as anchor of a newscast on TV. Curry is well-known for her reporting of emergencies and disasters that affect the human condition, especially in countries which have suffered the effects of conflict. Curry was the child of an U.S. Navy sailor and the daughter of a Japanese woman. Curry's parents met in Japan, where her father had been stationed after World War II. Because of her father's military service, the family relocated often. Curry finished her high school education in Ashland Oregon. In 1978 she graduated in 1978 from the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Her likely to have created an empathic communication style due to her exposure to other cultures during her childhood. Ann Curry works as a popular American journalist and newscaster at NBC. She and her husband travelled to numerous locations such as San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. Ashland, Oregon is the location where Curry received her degree. Her broadcasting career began as an internship with KTVL Channel 10 Medford in Oregon. When she was 22, she was the first journalist female at that station. In Portland in Oregon, she was appointed anchor and reporter by KGW which is NBC's subsidiary. After four years she moved in Los Angeles and became a reporter for KCBS TV. She was awarded two Emmy Awards during the six years that she worked for this station.
